For this series, Canoa Lab explored the concept of "isolated" (1. adj. unique, single, individual). They reworked and redesigned forms inspired by ancient Mediterranean vases. However, in this case, each piece is created individually and at a larger scale, utilizing coiling and press mold techniques. Some of the vases incorporate metal, with precious metalworking methods like wax modeling and lost-wax casting applied to ceramics. All pieces in this series are crafted from stoneware with grog from Manises (Valencia) and self-formulated glazes.
