Impressive and substantial art glass vase. The upper section has a very unusual applied lattice / basket-weave construction made from molten clear glass trails. A ground pontil mark is present on the bottom indicative of a hand blown piece. Unattributed but most consistent with midcentury Czech art glass.
This vase is very heavy and the scale is uniquely large Hard to find in perfect condition. Excellent for large arrangements and strong enough to balance large branches. Between arrangements, beautiful enough to be left empty.
